That girl

Have you ever watched any of those awards shows, like the Oscars, and wondered who that girl is that hands the award to EVERY celebrity who wins? I’ve wondered this before. And the other night I was that girl.

I told you that I was in the Philippines, not only to experience my background, but to promote the pageant I won last August. My coordinator, the one who set us up in the fancy condo, also set me up with Nora Aunor’s personal manager. Who is Nora Aunor? If you’re Filipino then you know who Nora Aunor is. If your not then in a few short words she was one of the BIGGEST actresses in the Philippines. Want to know more?

He asked me to be the ‘award girl’ for the 9th Annual Golden Screen Awards in Manila! I took photos with Nora Aunor & I was on stage with the very famous Philippine star Ding Dong Dantes. I met some Philippine celebs, and wish I had done my homework before I went to the event but to be honest I didn’t even know the name of the event until it started! I was told when and where and I got my butt there.

I wish I spoke Tagalog so I could understand what was going on, but I got the gist of it & loved not having to say one word the entire night. What an experience!

On another note I want to share some photos from a night out- Lili & I went out at night in Manila! Don’t worry Mom & Dad it was in Makati- safe as can be. We met up with my friend Kenny’s cousin, Trina, and her and her girlfriends showed us a few fun spots to have a drink or two or three. Don’t worry Mom & Dad we didn’t get hammered. Trina & Kenny both told us to check out High Street, which has a lot of places to eat and is nice to walk around. So before heading out for drinks we made the smart move of getting dinner. We found a cute little cafe & then killed some time walking around by the fountains. It was a very nice area with a great view & those cool fountains that shoot up if you run through them.
